Cool wishes to you all during the warm summer months!

Here are some reminders about coping with this heat, something that may be presenting new challenges in these distancing times. Independent of COVID-19 awareness, there are concerns in these temps. Staying well hydrated and cool is important. Please check the list below, and contact us if there’s a way we can help with anything.

  • Drink lots of water. Do you have plenty on hand? Please keep a tall glass or bottle of water by your side. One trick is to freeze water bottles so they can stay cool throughout the day. For those who don’t have great well water and purchase your drinking water, but are reluctant to go to stores to stock up, we can help with this.
  • Keep your home cool. If you need help managing windows or shades, or if you’ve got an air conditioner but no way to install it, please call and we will find some muscle to get it done. Now is not the time to be overheated and uncomfortable.
  • Escape from the heat. We are not yet allowed to open the cool CCL living room to the public, so we are working on other options to provide cool, safe spots that might be accessed for a limited period of time during very hot days. Please let us know if this would be helpful to you.
  • Please check in with neighbors. A friendly call or masked knock on a door can help distract from the heat and make sure someone’s safe. You can keep it simple, or here’s a more detailed checklist with questions you might ask. Always call 911 in case of emergency.

Call 795-0603, for a warm voice with cool ideas and a helping hand.

Don’t hesitate to check in and let us know how we can help, or if you’re able to lend a hand.
