From Sarah Crocket’s Friday morning Listserv Post:

Thank you all SO MUCH for supporting our 7th grade pumpkin fundraiser!  Many of our pumpkins have found new homes, and we hope you’ve had fun carving them up!  Some of you have signed up officially to be part of the contest and others have either said you aren’t participating in the contest portion or haven’t specified.

We just want to invite everyone to put your pumpkins out where they could be seen by our team of 7th grade judges.  We have a pretty small pool of competitors right now, so your chance of winning a prize is not bad!  Current prizes include a $50 certificate to Latham House Tavern or a $50 certificate to Loch Lyme Lodge.
Judging will begin at 5pm, so all entries (with address specified) need to be added to the list or emailed to Sarah before 5pm on 10/30.
Remember, our pumpkins are for sale by donation, so don’t let the price be an obstacle–as James said, any donation between $1 and $1,000,000 is perfectly acceptable 🙂  Pumpkins are for sale in front of the Lyme School or at 78 North Thetford Rd.  We don’t want them to go to waste, so please give them a warm home to hide out in before the temps go below freezing overnight Friday night!  Free delivery available if you let us know early enough!
You can make your donation by:
 – writing a check to the Lyme School with ‘7th Grade’ in the memo field (leave the check in the container on the pumpkin stand in front of the school)
Finally–for one last hurrah of Halloween Spirit, we would love everyone to bring their pumpkin creations to the school lawn on 10/31 to make a giant masterpiece of pumpkin carvings to share with the town.  After we are done judging Friday evening, it might not be a bad idea to put any pumpkins you want to bring to the school inside to avoid the freezing temps Friday night.
Thanks again for joining us in the new Halloween tradition!  We appreciate your support!
Sarah
