– Contradance –
There’s some more “real fun” coming your way with LIVE MUSIC at Tracy Hall!
Folks typically change partners after each dance, so there’s a variety of dancing styles to experience.
It’s simple, easy, fun – and anybody can do it.
Walk-through for new dancers at 7:45 pm
Beginners and singles are always welcome.
All dances are first taught, then called while the music plays.
We’ve got a young band -“Spintuition” matched up with a veteran caller – David Millstone.
Silas Hamilton – guitar, piano, fiddle
Willy Clemetson – fiddle, feet
Samuel Foucher – accordion, whistle, piano
Since the band is so young, they haven’t played all their notes just yet, they’ve still got plenty of ’em stored up for your dancing pleasure.
Our caller, David M, is so experienced, he knows all the right things to say to get you on your feet and moving.
8:00 pm – Contradance – we’ll have a variety of dance forms, some circle mixers, some contras, a few squares, and always – at least two waltzes.
Dancers should bring:
– a clean change of shoes for the dance floor
– a water bottle
– potluck finger-food snacks for the break
– …a smile, and a friend~!
