Wikipedia defines Geocaching as an outdoor recreational activity, in which participants use a Global Positioning System receiver or mobile device and other navigational techniques to hide and seek containers, called “geocaches” or “caches”, at specific locations.
Bradford Conservation Commission is hosting a free Geocaching Workshop led by Paul Hunt on Saturday, July 20th, at 1 pm. At the Bradford Academy building, Paul will guide you through down-loading the geocaching application on your smart phone and will teach you how to use your phone or another GPS device for plotting a course to a geocache site.
Then you’ll travel to the Devil’s Den Trailhead in the Wrights MT/Devil’s Den Town Forest on Chase Hollow Road and navigate your way to the geocache site near the Devil’s Den Cave.
Please rsvp for this workshop by emailing npj.4251@gmail.com Limit 1st 20 people to rsvp.
There are over 100 geocache sites in the Bradford area alone!
