Lyme Pumpkin Festival
On Saturday October 26th, 10am
On Saturday, October 26th, Lyme will hold its annual pumpkin festival! This has been a special event for all families in Lyme that has been happening every year for many generations.
The festival will start at 10am with a costume parade around the Lyme Common led by the Lyme Fire Department’s fire truck. After the parade, there will be a contest for the largest pumpkin in the following categories: Preschool, K-1st grade, 2nd-3rd grade, 4th-5th grade and 6th-8th grade. IF we show enough interest we may do an adult class as well. There will also be a bake off for fall themed desserts, and a pie eating contest for kids and adults! Every child who brings a pumpkin will receive a prize, and there will be goodie bags for all children also. Please note that items in the goodie bags may not be suitable for children under 3 so please use your discretion.
The pumpkin festival is run solely on donations, and donations are needed to defray the costs of running the event, and filling the goodie bags. Donations can be sent to: Jamie Rich, Po Box 143, Lyme Center NH 03769. Please make checks payable to the Town of Lyme.
Thanks!!
