International Photography Awards

Shared on Daybreak Friday, November 13th

Serious time-sink alert! The International Photography Awards have just announced their 2020 winners, choosing from among the work of some 13,000 professional photographers around the world. There are some unbelievable photos out there, from Antarctic landscapes to Hong Kong democracy protests to a lightning storm over Canberra, Australia, to… well, nature and sports and more categories of professional advertising than you knew existed.

Rob Gurwitt and team produce Daybreak, a daily summary of news and inspiration for the Upper Valley. It comes to your email inbox daily. We highly recommend it! At this link, you can read the full 11/13/2020 issue of Daybreak, see recent past issues, or subscribe.

Here’s the link to the award-winning photos.

… and two direct links to winners we particularly loved:

All Together Now – Neil Kremer
“Random people doing their part by wearing masks in public. Shot in Los Angeles during the Covid19 crisis.”

The Journey to the Land of DreamsIwona Podlasinska
The video (link below) is a series of moving pictures that tell the story of an imaginary journey to the wintry land of dreams. Children shown in the photos travel by horses, trains or on foot to finally reach the land of imagination. The video was created by Zaman Dizini with photos taken by Iwona Podlasińska

As Rob noted in his Daybreak intro. It will help you pass some serious time. Enjoy!
