AAPIHM 2021 presents On the Ground: Conversations on Asian Activism and Justice! Join us for a virtual panel with guest speakers:
- Prof. Margo Okazawa-Rey (founding member of the Combahee River Collective)
- Prof. Rhacel Salazar Parreñas (Sociology and Gender Studies at USC)
- Elene Lam (from Butterfly, an Asian and migrant sex worker support network)
- Betsy Yoon (from Nodutdol, a Korean diaspora community fighting for peace, decolonization, and self-determination)
Panelists will be discussing the rise of anti-Asian violence, the importance of intersectionality and history, and the struggle for justice. An audience Q&A will follow.
