It’s BLISTERS FOR BOOKS time!
This is an annual all-school fundraising event on the Lyme Common. Students solicit pledges from their friends, families, and neighbors prior to the event. They run as many laps around the Common as they can in the half-hour time limit. Within a couple of weeks following the Blisters run, students collect their pledged funds and return them to school. Later in the year, we will have a celebration of the event, and the funds raised will be utilized to the Library for the purchase of children’s books and materials. This is a special opportunity for the kids to contribute their energy to the growth of their community’s resources, and we hope you will encourage them. The running course is supervised and the school nurse will be on the Common, along with teachers for each class and community volunteers.
