Casino is a partner dance that originated in Cuba in the 1950s from son, chachachá, and danzón. On Tuesdays, you will learn the fundamentals of this social dance, including lead and follow technique, musicality, and body motion. On Fridays, you will learn the fun and dynamic group version of this dance, rueda de casino, which involves switching partners and executing simple moves in unison according to the instructor’s calls. No experience or partner needed. Classes are drop in. Please bring clean shoes. *Intermediate classes require instructor approval.
