Printing Demonstration

and Exhibition Talk (re-scheduled)

Due to the great snowstorm of March 12, 2022,

we have re-scheduled the Demonstration and Talk of

“Bringing to Life Danjuro VIII”,

color woodblock prints by Utagawa Kunisada,

to this coming Saturday:

April 16, 2022 from 1-3pm

This is also the final day of exhibit, and masks are optional.

During the talk time, Matt will demonstrate how he makes his prints (which is the same method used to make the colorful prints of Kunisada, 170+ years ago).

Matt will also describe what he sees in these designs of Kunisada’s, and why he is so fascinated with their strong juxtaposing colors and patterns.
