Race Back to School is a super-fun race for kids and families 5-14 on Kingdom Trails, August 18, registration starts at 8am.
The race goes from 9-11, with participants racing to do the most loops on designated KT trails within the two hours.
There are three loops – short, medium and long, each worth a specific number of points; The map is available on the KT website.
Fun stations – like yoga, tree identification, face painting – are placed along the shorter loops, with training stops on the tougher ones.  Participants also get points for stopping at these.
Those with the most points in the two hours are the winners 1st, 2nd, 3rd.
The beauty of the race is that it can be as laid back and fun or as tough as you want it.  We had some serious competition last year, and some serious smiles!
We’ve also tried to keep it affordable.

For most people, RBtS is a fun race – but it can also be a fund-raiser, as participants clock up their points for pledges.  IF anyone is interested in doing that this year (though kind of late to organize), I can help them with pledge forms and other info.  But parents, schools and youth organizations should keep it on the radar for next year.
