I’d also like to say that Hogwash Farm has a year-round meat CSA that you can join at any time. For a supply of local, gmo-free, healthy, happy meat please consider joining the farm CSA or swinging by our Farm Stand. We keep our own breeding herd of pigs so Hogwash pork has spent its entire life here in the fields or woods surrounding the farm. We also have a small herd of heritage breed Jacob sheep and I save almost all of the lamb for the CSA customers. The farm also raises gmo-free pastured chickens and turkeys that go to the CSA customers before anyone else.
April is the beginning of the spring quarter and is the perfect time to join so you can support this little family farm as the season ramps up. We are already locked in with piglets, chickens, turkeys, and sheep for the season – we’ll be here providing local food regardless of what the economy does to us so please consider keeping your dollars local! Like everyone else I’m going to have to raise prices but am going to hold off until the end of the month. Anyone who joins our CSA in April will be grandfathered in on the old prices.

We also have a farm stand at the farm that is open every day all year. You’ll always find a basic selection of farm pork there and an increasing selection of other local goods as the season progresses. Right now we have utterly gorgeous pansies from Four Springs Farm and the stand gives you a great look at all the adorable spring lambs we’ve had so far. The count as of this morning is 24 lambs! Bonus points if you see them all ;)
