UVIP (United Valley Interfaith Project) is supporting Long Story Short as they present Immigrant Stories! True stories told by immigrants about immigration experiences — on Sunday, March 10, 3-5 PM, at the Upper Valley Senior Center, 10 Campbell Street, Lebanon.
If you have ever listened to The Moth on public radio, that will give you an idea of what this will be like. While the stories themselves are the most important aspect of this, there will also be a free will donation fundraiser for the brand new Immigrant Community Support Fund that has been set up by the Upper Valley Refugee Working Group to help meet the many and varied needs of immigrants in our community. Applications for support will be discerned BY immigrants in our community FOR immigrants in our community. Donation checks can be made out to “Upper Valley Refugee Working Group” (or “UVRWG”), memo “Immigrant Community Support Fund.” If you cannot attend but wish to support the fund, you can mail donations to Upper Valley Refugee Working Group, PO Box 5154, Hanover, NH 03755-5154
