Wellness Practice “Demos”

The Lyme Health & Wellness Fair is filled with fun and healthy activities for you, your friends, family, neighbors and co-workers to try! Generous professionals are leading opportunities for you to safely and comfortably explore a new activity. The agenda is filled with fun activities for all ages and all ability levels. 

From 11 am to 1 pm, all this healthy adventure will have an uplifting backdrop: The Panhandlers Steel Drum Band!

Join in! Try something new, or help show how it’s done

in the Demo Tent made possible by our Community Partner 

30 minute sessions, unless otherwise noted. Details subject to change.

10:00 am – Music Therapy for Mental Wellness with Shanna Meyer, Clinical Director of Averte Wellness: Experience an interactive, evidence-based practice of music making, breathing, and movement.

10:30 am – Intro to Salsa Dancing with Maylena, Dance Instructor: Explore the magic of this fun Latin dance form! Learn the first steps, connect to the music, and get ready to give it a try with the Panhandlers! You do not need a partner to join in.

11:00 am – Ultimate Frisbee with Jacob Craft of Upper Valley Ultimate: New to this growing sport? Take part in throwing drills and learn about match play with members of a welcoming co-ed group of Ultimate players. Meet at the Demo Tent and walk together to the practice area.

11:30 am – Chair Yoga with Kim Wenger Hall, Creator of Flourish Art & Yoga Studios: Try this gentle, yet effective approach to stretching and strengthening your body as you clear your mind.

12:00 noon – Dance Party! Come and move your body to the sounds of the Panhandlers. Everyone can experience the freeing joy of dancing. Dance by the band! 

12:30 pm – Partner Yoga with Kathryn Mills: “Stretch” your yoga experience with this fun introduction to poses with a friend or partner. Come with someone or meet a new friend!

1:00 pm – Hands-only CPR with Andy Miller, Captain, Lyme FAST Squad: Everyone can learn the simple steps of this life-saving technique, and be prepared to help save a life.

1:00 pm – Prize Drawings in the Welcome Tent. Enter your tickets before 1:00. You must be present at the Fair to win. If you’ll be participating in the CPR class or involved in another activity or conversation, just check in with the Prize team before the drawing. We’ll hold your prize.

1:30 pm – Rueda de Casino – Cuban Social Dance with Warren Kadoya, TucSon Casineros: Join in a beginner class of this fun form of partner dancing, similar to line or square dancing, with a Latin flair. You do not need a partner to join in.


Mobile Flu Vaccination Clinic

in partnership with the Village to Village Network

  • Free flu shots 10am-2pm, on the Lyme Common.
  • Primarily high dose vaccines, for ages 65+.
  • Doses are limited, so you are invited to reserve a spot at this link.
    (Reservations are for arrivals within one-hour blocks)
  • Come to the Fair with your insurance card and ID.
  • We’ll be in touch with those who have reserved on Friday, to share more about logistics arrival.
