Caregiver Action Network

Celebrating National Family Caregivers Month

There are many organizations that support individuals and communities either at a local or national level. Once per month, for Wellness Wednesday, we will share one of these well-respected organizations in order to connect you with more resources that support Health & Wellness.

This month, in the midst of celebrating National Family Caregivers Month we are sharing the resource Caregiver Action Network (CAN). This organization offers tips, shares caregiver stories and has a community for caregivers to have the support needed. In honor of the 2023 theme #CaregiversConnect the organization states:

Celebrating Family Caregivers during National Family Caregivers Month enables all of us to:

  • Raise awareness of family caregiver issues
  • Celebrate the efforts of family caregivers
  • Educate family caregivers about self-identification
  • Increase support for family caregivers
  • Reduce feelings of isolation

(Caregiver Action Network, Oct. 31, 2023)

Explore this resource to connect, learn and raise awareness. To engage with this year’s theme, use their hashtag #CaregiversConnect.

Every Wednesday, CommunityCare of Lyme lifts up a wellness topic, embracing the widest possible definition of individual and community well-being. We include local and national resources, individual and group programs and practices, and personal stories, videos, or songs that have something to teach us all. We are always seeking guest contributors!
